Boars Nest

Boars Nest was originally founded as 'Hohenriens' over 100 years ago. This was a 2nd butchers shop for George Hohenriens, who often over heard people say 'Hohenriens sausages are the finest' Opening in Princes Avenue was more convenient for the affluent residents of this popular, fashionable area of Hull. When George died, the shop was taken over by his eldest son, William, who reluctantly left Hull to go to Germany to be with his sick wife. His younger brother Charles Henry took over the shop to prove an even more successful business. His products won medals. He was proud to bring this success to Hull. Charles Henry was British to the centre. A true patriot.
