Barclays Business Systems are different in that they evolved from a practical business background rather than an IT background. In practice which means we focus more on finding the solution to fit the business rather than trying to make the business fit the solution. The founders, William and Deborah Barclay originally owned and ran a successful motorcycle dealership. They had experimented with many software solutions but found them all either too longwinded or unable to handle the more specialised kinds of their business in a simple and practical way.
