Your Garden Centre for Unique Trees, Shrubs, Conifers, Plants and Flowers in East & West Sussex.Arundel Arboretum has over the years, supplied quality stock for all purposes, for example screenage from overlooking properties. We have a wide variety of evergreen standard, half-standard and bush screening trees and shrubs. In recent years, as instant screenage has become more of a concern for many of our clients, we have endeavoured to also stock a large number of varieties of hedging for screenage.
Before making a decision about the type of tree or shrub you require evergreen or deciduous, research is most important. You need to consider your soil type, its pH level, how wet or dry your ground is, whether you face north, south, east or west, how close to the sea you may be, as a salt wind can devastate some varieties.
We also provide a free planting guide, which will help you to plant your tree correctly.

What we do
read moreWe offer a site visit service, and our charges are based upon the amount of advice you require together with the distance travelled. We will advise you on the plants that are best suited to your garden, taking into account position, soil type, what you are wanting to achieve e.g. height and width you want the plant to eventually get to, screenage issues etc.We offer a delivery service and our charges are based on the distance travelled not the amount of items purchased. We offer a full planting service and will also advise on after-care. Our charges are based upon the size of the item to be planted.

During this time, we have developed a large stock of trees, mature evergreen shrubs, conifers, Japanese maples, cedars and olives. Most of our customers come from recommendation. We believe the reason for this is not just the range and quality of our stock, but also our friendly, approachable and extremely knowledgeable staff and the advice we are able to give to our customers. Once our customers have made their choice, they can take advantage of our delivery and planting services.
