Antique Storehouse

The Antiques Storehouse is situated within Storehouse 9 in the main tourist site of Portsmouth Historic Dockyard. Entrance to this area is free to the general public. Built in 1782, Storehouse 9 is a Grade I Listed building and was originally used to store provides for the Royal Navy. This fine Georgian building has a grand arched colonnade, and its floor is made from eighteenth century captured French ships. It's in a row of three almost identical buildings, with Storehouses 10 & 11 being occupied by the separate Royal Naval Museum.
