We're proud of our unique traditional real wood carpentry buildings. Hand built by skilled craftsman our external buildings are of the best quality. They are very different from those stocked by the huge retail chains which are just literally nailed together. our quoted timber sizes are actual finished sizes and not pre machined sizes. Redwood has a more compact tighter grain than the more commonly used whitewood. As seasons change so do the temperature and humidity of the air. This is when the wood expands and contracts causing slight changes in the woods grain. Over time this can become significant in the form of splits and cracks. Redwood has a tighter grain then whitewood and as such cracks less, weathers better and is more fitted the U. K climate.
