A several minutes walk to the Mercury Theatre, museums, firstsite, nice shops and a perfect range of restaurants. Train stations, buses and the leisure centre with swimming pool, are within a short walking distance. Colchester is Britain's oldest recorded town with much to knowledge and enjoy. There is the Norman Castle and Museum, whose foundations were once a Roman Temple which was burned to the ground when Queen Boudica ransacked the town in 60AD.
