Set in it's own parkland opposite Chartley Castle, where Mary Queen of Scots was imprisoned, this Grade II half timbered Elizabethan manor house, is according to numerous guests, a rare find. Push open the studded front door to discover panelled walls, a terracotta dining room and a lot of oak beams.
